Spiritual Forensics
 Not everyone who says to Me, “‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven; but he who does the will of My Father who is in heaven.” Many will say to Me on that day, “Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in Your name, and in Your name cast out demons, and in Your name perform many miracles?” And then I will declare to them, “I never knew you; depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness.” Matthew 7:21-23
 Personally, those are some of the most chilling words that Yeshua ever spoke. He is declaring that some “believers” among us are not really believers at all. They have deceived themselves into being believers by replicating certain actions to appear as believers.

I once knew a Jew who attended our former Messianic congregation who began visiting a local Jewish synagogue. In about six months word came to me that he now doubted the messiahship of Yeshua and had begun to teach an anti-missionary class at that synagogue. He was somewhat of a celebrity in the Jewish community (one of their own had returned to the flock) and escaped the clutches of the “deceptive” Messianic Jews.

Trib Trooper Survival Kit / July 2011

Trib Trooper Survival Kit

Trib Trooper Survival Kit

The Bible speaks of a time when the believers will have to flee their homes and cities and survive in the "wilderness of the peoples." It a time referred to as the Great Tribulation. It begins at a future Passover and concludes three-and-a-half years later at the fall holiday of the Feast of Trumpets. Those who do not escape, survive, and endure to the end do not see the physical return of the Lord. Instead, they perish earlier attempting to fight or being taken captive by the enemy. The prophet Ezekiel describes this greater exodus of the nations and our survival during that time.

The Torah and the Last Generation / August 2011

Torah and the Last Generation   Huh?

Please Visit & Support Monte & Lin Judah, www.lionlamb.net

Torah and the Last Generation

The Torah is the story of one generation – the generation who left Egypt with Moses by God's mighty hand of judgment, who then received the Torah to transform them from slaves to free men and prepare them to enter the land promised to their fathers. The first book, Genesis, explains where they came from and why they went to Egypt to begin with; but the Torah does not end with that generation entering the promised land. Instead, in the last book of Deuteronomy Moses looks forward and speaks to another generation – the final generation at the end of the ages.

It turns out that the greatest prophetic theme in Scripture is "what happens to the fathers will happen to the descendants." The Torah is actually a prophecy (the story of our fathers) that is intended for the final generation to guide them through another "exodus" that will occur. That exodus will be much greater than the one out of ancient Egypt.

The Hebrew word for Egypt is "Mitzrayim" which means trials and tribulations. It is a plural word and therefore contains plural elements in its understanding. The world in all of its elements, separate from God, is a collection of trials and tribulations for everyone. The spiritual journey from life in this world to the one promised by God (eternal life) is the overarching testimony of God, especially when the Messiah is brought into the discussion. It is the Messiah who is known as the True Savior and Deliverer from the slavery of sin and death. The Passover deliverance in ancient Egypt with Moses is the same Passover Lamb of God who offers redemption by Messiah Yeshua. The parallels between the redemption from Egypt and the work of redemption by Messiah Yeshua are numerous and profound, but let's go back to the implications of the Torah as it pertains to the final generation.

A Call to Unity / May 2003 Please see link for entire article... Please visit & support Monte & Lin Judah www.lionlamb.net

Today, we have leaders who have risen up not by God’s call or anointing. They lead by the power of personality and use the tactics of intimidation, extortion, and criminally attack other ministries and brethren for reasons of financial gain and power. They speak against "La shon hara" (the evil tongue) but exploit any theological disagreement into directed behavior. They are self-willed and operate like the priestly elders of the temple, condemning Yeshua’s brethren with false witnesses and prejudice. But what of all the brethren that witness these misdeeds? Those witnesses are accomplices to the activity by listening and repeating the false accusations. The Torah teaches that a man who idly stands by while another is slain is just as guilty. Even more so, a witness who will not speak up when he is being investigated is just as guilty as the perpetrator and deserves the same judgment. The Messianic Movement has in some specific cases literally formed synagogues of satan that spend their energies accusing their own brethren. We have gone beyond the ego of Korah who wanted to be in charge. We have gone beyond Dathan and Abiram who refused to even meet with Moses. Jeremiah spoke rightly of us who would be scattered into the nations at the end of the ages.
Then you are to say to them, "It is because your forefathers have forsaken Me," declares the Lord, "and have followed other gods and served them and bowed down to them; but Me they have forsaken and have not kept My law. You too have done evil, even more than your forefathers; for behold, you are each one walking according to the stubbornness of his own evil heart, without listening to Me."

When God called Abraham and directed him to leave his father's house and land, He set about to form a new family in a new land. We know that God chose Abraham to be the father of this new family with the ultimate goal that through Abraham God's blessing would extend to "all the families of the earth." We also know that the land promised to Abraham and his descendants is the land of Israel. Just as Abraham's family, though small, was the beginning for "all the families of the earth," so we have learned that the "promised land of Israel" was only the down payment for God to own the whole earth.

As the Psalmist King David has said,

Truths We Deny - Lies We Believe

In the final chapter of Genesis, Jacob passes away and Joseph and his brothers take his body back to Canaan and bury him in Machpelah (Hebron). For all the turmoil and conflict in Jacob's life, his last seventeen years were enjoyed with rest and comfort provided by Joseph in the land of Goshen (Egypt). You might recall the story of Joseph and how he was sold into slavery by his own brothers and forced to go to Egypt. While in Egypt he interpreted Pharaoh's dreams and was raised up to save Egypt and the surrounding region from a seven-year famine. When the brothers came to Egypt to buy food during the famine, they did not recognize Joseph, so he used that opportunity to deal with them by bringing them to repentance for what they had done to him and his father Jacob. At that moment of repentance, Joseph revealed himself and his brothers, led by Judah, were shocked that this Egyptian ruler was their lost brother Joseph.

Referring to the ancient story, it has always struck me a little strange that Joseph's brothers, who sold him to traders going to Egypt, truly thought they would never see him again, even if they went to Egypt themselves. The brothers had taken Joseph's tunic and ripped it, smeared blood on it, and then let Jacob think that Joseph had been attacked and killed by a wild beast. But what is really strange to me is that the brothers seemed to believe the very lie they put on Jacob. They acted as though Joseph was no more as well. This becomes acutely clear when Joseph reveals himself to the brothers amidst their shock.

Where did they really think Joseph was? Answer: Somewhere in Egypt as a slave. When the time came for them to travel to Egypt to buy food did they not think there was any chance that they would see Joseph again? Answer: Apparently not. As a slave his life would have been short. The very possibility did not exist in their thinking.

Stepping back, Joseph's brothers knew truthfully what happened to Joseph, yet they believed the very lie they told Jacob their father. Why did they believe that lie?

The Excellent Wife / December 2004 Wink

An excellent wife, who can find?
 For her worth is far above jewels.
 The heart of her husband trusts in her,
 And he will have no lack of gain.
 She does him good and not evil
 All the days of her life.
 She looks for wool and flax
 And works with her hands in delight.
 She is like merchant ships;
 She brings her food from afar.
 She rises also while it is still night
 And gives food to her household
 And portions to her maidens.
 She considers a field and buys it;
 From her earnings she plants a vineyard.
 She girds herself with strength
 And makes her arms strong.
 She senses that her gain is good;
 Her lamp does not go out at night.
 She stretches out her hands to the distaff,
 And her hands grasp the spindle.
 She extends her hand to the poor,
 And she stretches out her hands to the needy.
 She is not afraid of the snow for her household,
 For all her household are clothed with scarlet.
 She makes coverings for herself;
 Her clothing is fine linen and purple.
 Her husband is known in the gates,
 When he sits among the elders of the land.
 She makes linen garments and sells them,
 And supplies belts to the tradesmen.
 Strength and dignity are her clothing,
 And she smiles at the future.
 She opens her mouth in wisdom,
 And the teaching of kindness is on her tongue.
 She looks well to the ways of her household,
 And does not eat the bread of idleness.
 Her children rise up and bless her;
 Her husband also, and he praises her, saying:
 “Many daughters have done nobly,
 But you excel them all.”
 Charm is deceitful and beauty is vain,
 But a woman who fears the LORD, she shall be praised.
 Give her the product of her hands,
 And let her works praise her in the gates.
 Proverbs 31:10-31
